Hello there!
Annie Deering, 2024. Photo by Vincent Klein.
Annie Deering (they/them pronouns) is a queer & disabled artist based in New York.
They would like to acknowledge that the area in which they live and make art is Oneida and Haudenosaunee land.
Annie works primarily in photography, but also enjoys drawing, painting, embroidery, singing, and dancing. They were formerly a college counselor for first-year students and an intern in Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusivity at their local museum in Vermont, where they attended college. After college, they worked as an assistant director for the integration of arts programs into geriatric care facilities before transitioning into professional photography work in late 2020.
